Artist Statement

Fascinated by contradiction and simultaneity, I am interested in stretching the boundaries of language as well as working within them, using text and sound and image in various combinations. Much of my visual artwork begins as a poem or series of poems, creating an underlying literary framework of imagery and metaphor.

Currently, I am exploring the public perception and presence of women's voices and emotions through performance, turning internal dialogues outward as a means of provoking connection and awareness.
